Adi Berardini
Exhibition Description:
Live Stream by Adi Berardini looks at love, loss, and disenfranchised grief and how time and distance affect the grieving process through a series of paintings. The exhibition addresses the interconnectedness of emotions, everyday life and spirituality, and how technology can both connect us and isolate us.
Artist Bio:
Currently based in London, ON, Adi Berardini has a BFA in Cultural +Critical Practice from Emily Carr University of Art+Design (Vancouver, BC) and an MA in Art History from Western University. Fascinated by pattern and colour, they have been exploring painting and illustration as a means of expression and to challenge the boundaries of what is considered "high" and "low" art. She is curious about how the feminine draws parallels to worth within art, for example, why folk art, saturated colour, and surface pattern design can hold a different place within the greater context of art. She is the editor of Femme Art Review, a publication for LGBTQ2S+ and women writers to reflect on art.
