Megan Arnold

“I have a fascination for autobiography and the recording of life experiences. I am an obsessive, but selective, documenter of daily minutiae, anecdotes, and other (in)significant events. Everything I experience is a story and everyone I encounter is a character. My memory is a subjective archive. Notes, sketches, and photographs make up the bulk of my ongoing research, focusing on moments of absurdity within the mundane, wackiness within the ordinary. Humour and exaggeration are as important to me as honesty and authenticity. By playing the roles of both character and creator/curator in my work, I design a version of my reality that is a caricature of itself.” -Megan Arnold.
