Mikaila Stevens

Mikaila Stevens is a Mi’kmaq multidisciplinary artist currently based in London. Her company Flourish and Grow was established in 2019 as a creative outlet to merge her passion for contemporary Indigenous beadwork and her background in textile printmaking. Most recently she has begun hosting beading workshops that aim to give participants a chance for a hands-on learning experience in the art of beadwork and gain a better understanding of the value of cultural art forms.

By combining vibrant colour schemes and conceptual designs inspired by the beauty of our planet and everything beyond, Mikaila utilizes art as a tool for healing, sharing stories, and finding strength in vulnerability to create meaningful connections to others.
